I was on my computer one time and i changed the name of the workgroup. will anything bad happen?

if your wondering how i did that well first i right clicked on my computer and went to the Computer name tab and clicked on the change button. then changed the of the workgroup. i'm just wondering if that will cause problems on the boot

Unless you have mapped drives, networked printers, or are connected to a server, you won't notice anything.



If you encounter problems, you can change it back to the old workgroup name. Everything should be available again after a restart.

Won't cause the local computer to anything different.

It will make all of your network stuff act goofy (or else it won't depending on how to set that up)



You shouldn;t expect network printers, or mounted network drives to behave, but all you have to do is change it Workgroup back...



This isn't a big deal.
