Is there any way to rename your computer system?

My internal hard drive died for some reason after only having my laptop for 30 days. Needless to say, when I took it back to Best Buy, they found it was within the manufacturer's warranty and replaced it for free. However, when the Best Buy person reloaded my operating system he named my computer my last name but spelled it wrong!! It's driving me crazy. I changed my admin name already (which was also my last name spelled wrong) but I can't figure out how to change the system name itself which shows up every time I open My Computer and such. I have Windows Home 7 64-bit if that helps, and the computer is a Dell.

Thanks!

goto Start . then above control panel, it says %26quot;Computer%26quot; , right click on it, and click on properties .

Goto Advanced system settings ( on the left column ) there you will see a tab called %26quot;Computer name%26quot;. Click on change in the last box and you can rename it.

Right click on Computer and choose Properties. At the bottom of this screen you can change the name of your computer.
control panel %26gt; system %26gt; change settings %26gt; change it
Ibn's answer was correct, but long-winded. The next time you get into that little mess, press the windows key and pause/break, click on advanced system settings, and it's plain sailing from there, and it's a little quicker too.

As for the folder, it may be that you need to change your account name, but I would try changing the folder name first. I've never had a problem like that though, so I wouldn't bank on me being right about it.
