How do i rename Administrator to something else?
How many Administrator account I suppose to have 1 or 2? right know all i have is administrator (computer administrator) and guest account
can anyone around here help me. thanks|||The first time I turned on my computer, I was prompted to create user accounts. Because I did, there was no need for a default Administrator account; I never had one (or at least it%26#039;s hidden). I don%26#039;t have a Guest account visible either. Your Administrator account is just there because you need at least one account with administrator privileges. If you create a new account (with administrator privileges), you can name it whatever you want and also change the name later. The other one should be hidden automatically like the message says - if not, you can do it manually. You can copy over all its data to your new account as well. You can definitely turn off the guest account.
In my opinion, it%26#039;s good to have 2 administrator accounts so if something%26#039;s messed up with one, you can fix it with the other. You can set this second account so it%26#039;s not visible on the welcome screen or, if you%26#039;re the only user, you can skip the welcome screen entirely and go straight into your account. The easiest way I know to do these things is with the Microsoft program, Tweak UI (Logon category and Logon-%26gt;Autologon section).|||yes there is but the main administrator account u cant|||You cannot remove the Administrators account..and if you do..your computer will be in a heap of trouble...the software is set up like that and i have no idea what the fuss is all about...The computer Administrator is the Main User of the computer %26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; YOU .....a guest account has limited priviledges so they can%26#039;t fuss with your computer and mess it up.....The software is designed to be as easy to use for the common person....accept the way it is.....there is not much you can do about it unforturnately......................Mike|||XP Professional
when you have that version of XP you can%26#039;t have more then one account (except the guest account) and you can%26#039;t change your name
if you wanna change that you need to get another version like XP Home edition (you know the Recovery CD)
