When I used to open up the Internet Explorer, Yahoo would pop up but I accidentally changed it to Ask.com. Now I can easily ask Google a %26quot;how to%26quot; but Forgot the name of what it is called to get instructions. It is not a screensaver but it is........?

Sadly there is only one answer and its not pretty. the only real answer is a rebuild. the registry will be really confused if you try anything else.
