Now im usually pretty good with computers but this is just getting passed me. The name that appears when you send someone an email under; i put a different name than mine and now i want to change it, so i went into options and changed it and tested it a couple of days later and it still doesnt say my real name. even when you open yahoo and it says: Hello, _______ it is the right name. Is it because the name you choose when you open your account is the one your stuck with. In case you dont know which one im talking about, im trying to change the name that appears in other people%26#039;s inbox when i email them.|||This is the normal procedure: click %26quot;options%26quot; (top right) on your mail page, click %26quot;general preferences%26quot;. In %26quot;name and e-mail%26quot; you may change which name appears in the %26quot;from%26quot; field for mails you want to send. In %26quot;reply to%26quot; changes are also possible. Make sure you save your new settings. Note: you should sign out and back in again to make sure that the settings are working.
If that doesn%26#039;t work, try deleting all cookies and temp files from your browser cache.
