How do you change your name on the computer?

My aunt gave me her laptop and its windows vista and it still has her name on the accounts but i know how to go to control panel and change my name but it will still say its her computer and I want to know how you delete that|||Try going to user accounts, change name . ~

2. Click on Advanced System Settings


3. On the right screen, you will find System Properties


4. Click on the CHANGE button to rename the computer


5. Under Computer Name: you can change the name of the computer.








Rename The Administrator Account

2. Click Local Security Policy.


3. Expand the Local Policies.


4. Click Security Options. (The various security options will be displayed in the Details pane)


5. Double click Accounts: Rename Administrator Account.


6. Type in the new account name /


7. Click OK.

The website says that it%26#039;s for Windows XP, but it will work with Windows Vista as well.
