Who is a computer engineer or computer software engineer?

he i would like to know Who is a computer/computer software engineer? OR maybe you know one.

if u do can u ask him/her if they would like to answer a couple of questions (u see i need to interview an engineer) if u can, can you give me their email address so that i could send him/her the questions or just ask them straight out from here.

here they are:

Name:

1. When did you know you wanted to be an engineer?

14. In your field job do you travel often?

15. Do you work in a team?

16. What are your surroundings, when you work?

18. What types of program do you work on?

19. Do you think this job field is popular?

20. Is there anything that you would like to change about your job?

21. What is the most important thing that you learned through your years as a computer engineer?|||1. When did you know you wanted to be an engineer?

When I was a kid. I loved Legos, and I loved and was good at computers, so it seemed like a natural choice.

2. When did you decided that you want to be a computer software engineer?

The decision to be a software engineer sort of fell on me - by education, I%26#039;m a Computer Engineer (closer to Electrical Engineering than Software Engineering, really), but my internship while I was in college was at a company in the area that did software, so I sort of picked that up when I graduated.

3. For how long have you been in this field?

I%26#039;ve been working in the field for over two years now.

4. What school did you go to?

I went to Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois.

5. What degree do you have for this field?

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

6. How was your college life?

Awesome. Wouldn%26#039;t trade it for anything. I had a blast and met lots of really cool people. I actually met my girlfriend at college.

7. How was computer software engineering in your college?

There were some rough patches within the CS/ECE departments (I took courses in both), but that%26#039;s to be expected at any school. For the most part, the instructors were all thrilled to be teaching and did a very good job. Many of them had decades of industry experience, and some of them were actually taking time off from working in the field to teach a course or two for a semester (in other words, teaching wasn%26#039;t their primary job - they were teaching what they did for a living, so you knew you were getting the best information available).

8. What was your favorite course in college, that dealt with computer software engineering?

I%26#039;ve gotta say, it%26#039;s a tie between the course sequence I took for Network Engineering and my Microcontrollers course. Microcontrollers are cool because you%26#039;re working with raw hardware; if I absolutely *had* to pick, I%26#039;d probably pick that.

9. What is your favorite thing about this field?

It%26#039;s constantly evolving. There%26#039;s always new, interesting stuff to learn. Also, see next answer.

10. What is the most interesting thing about this field?

Computer Science/Computer Engineering drives the world - everything nowadays depends on computers. There are a ton of opportunities available that you wouldn%26#039;t necessarily even think of. All your work, be it in industry or in academics, has a chance to change someone%26#039;s life in a meaningful way. Whether you invent a new type of circuit, or design a better word processor, you%26#039;re making life better for someone. It feels very meaningful.

11. What is the least favorite thing about you job/ computer engineering?

A lot of the folks that work in industry are very stubborn and opinionated. This can make for some very good discussions but it can also contribute to some nasty, difficult situations. I suppose that happens in any field, though. Part of the downside of the job, though, is it isn%26#039;t (usually) one where you can go home at night and forget about work. There%26#039;s always the problem you%26#039;re trying to solve looming in the back of your mind. This can get stressful, but only if you let it.

12. What companies did you worked for?

I actually can%26#039;t say; suffice it to say I work for a very large US company and we%26#039;re one of the forerunners in our field.

13. What company do you work for now?

See above answer.

14. In your field job do you travel often?

You can, depending on the position; my circumstances don%26#039;t allow me to travel (still studying part-time for my Master%26#039;s degree, so I can%26#039;t leave).

15. Do you work in a team?

Yes. Teams are usually small - my last team was, at most, 12 people. My current team is 7 or 8.

16. What are your surroundings, when you work?

Cubicles. Not like Dilbert-style cubicles. They%26#039;re usually pretty tasteful and private. When I work, I prefer to wear headphones and have music or podcasts running. When I%26#039;m not, we%26#039;re usually comfortable talking across cubicle walls.

17. How long does it take you to finish a project?

That%26#039;s something you%26#039;ll find out about software development - you never really %26quot;finish%26quot; a lot of projects. There%26#039;s always Version 2.0 or Patch 15a or something new to work on that%26#039;s really just a continuation of the last project. Seldom are projects really %26quot;finished%26quot;.

18. What types of program do you work on?

Software. Important software. You won%26#039;t be able to go to the store and buy the software I work on. More than that I can%26#039;t really say.

19. Do you think this job field is popular?

Definitely! I graduated with lots of other people looking to get into software/computer engineering.

20. Is there anything that you would like to change about your job?

Am I allowed to give myself a raise? I%26#039;d totally do that. I should definitely be making 7 figures... ;)

21. What is the most important thing that you lear
